Vita
Artikel Viv Art:
Dhira was born in 1975 in Graz, Austria.
Her colorful life began with constant relocations and long stays in Spain and India. This turbulent lifestyle, and the accompanying sense of instability, led her to find a beloved place of retreat already in her childhood — where she would paint or work with clay.
Her formative years in India’s vibrant art scene, as well as her teachers — the Japanese artist Mira Haschimoto and Kislay Vora — had a significant influence on her artistic expression.
Since 2002, she has worked as a freelance artist and continued to spend many years in India and Spain, primarily in Ibiza and Barcelona. There, she worked for renowned musicians, clubs, and prestigious hotels, who entrusted her with the task of filling their spaces with color and life.
To this day, she holds her work to a high standard:
Her art should radiate timeless elegance and aesthetic, while also touching the viewer’s soul.
She describes the creative process as something constantly evolving. She believes that an artist never truly “arrives” — there are always projects she is working on.
At the moment, she is particularly focused on light.
Quote: “It fascinates me how the old masters were able to bring so much light onto the canvas.”
Thematically, she is currently exploring contemporary issues — for example, how smartphones dominate our lives and those of our children.

As she does not focus solely on painting but also creates sculptures and reliefs out of clay, she is often referred to as a multi-artist.
Some of her commissioned work has even included CD covers, illustrations, graffiti, and murals.
With every creation, her wish remains the same: To make the world a little more beautiful.
When working on commissions, she stays in close contact with clients to incorporate any desired changes.
Since 2010, she has been living and working in Neu-Isenburg and, in 2022, she opened a gallery that bears her name.
There, she provides a space for other professional artists to exhibit their work.
Her studio is located at the same address, and she warmly welcomes every guest — during opening hours or by appointment.
